"I met Build a Home team when refurbishing my first apartment in Bristol. Their knowledge and attention to detail impressed and I knew we would work together again some day. Several years later I purchased my new home and skilfully gained planning permission to add a unique contemporary roof extension - the first of its kind. The extension would add 2 much needed bedrooms to the original 2 bed Georgian property. Naturally, there was only one team in town who I could entrust as an architect to deliver my unique dream. 

 

Build a Home’s process, passion and ability to craft meant that we we shared the same vision from the outset, all the way through to the final detail and finish. They are extremely knowledgeable in both traditional and modern construction techniques which is commendable for their versatility. 

 

The team is most interested in projects that are bespoke by nature. Never shying away from complex detailing, they’re always on hand to offer alternative solutions from past project experience. They are enthusiastic by using quality materials and products which will stand the test of time, which enables them to craft a quality product. 

 

The team consists of exemplary carpenters with a strong work ethic and the ability to produce joinery on site - great for architectural led projects with fine detailing. Details I am most proud of are the contemporary bespoke bedroom wardrobes and the plywood coffered ceiling in the master bedroom. Equally impressive, they have also installed period staircase balustrading and traditional sash windows throughout, restoring the former period beauty of the place. 

 

I have lived in the new roof extension for 6 months or so now and it is a delight to wake up above the rooftops every day.
